HOW DOES IT WORK?
Gather up your empty The Body Shop plastic and aluminium packaging at home. Just make sure it is as empty, clean and dry as possible.
Bring them into store and pop them in one of our Return, Recycle, Repeat bins.
We’ll make sure they are safely processed and recycled. Plastic will be further processed and segregated and then exported to its recycling facility. Aluminium will be recycled locally, where local facilities allow, otherwise, exported to the recycling facility.
What can I recycle in store?
Bring back The Body Shop plastic and aluminium as long as it is empty, clean, dry and not hazardous. Perhaps you can even collect packaging from your friends too!
Unfortunately,we can't accept any empty packaging that's classed as hazardous or flammable, such as perfume bottles, as well as accessories.
Where does my empty packaging go?
The E-bin Company in Bahrain will help you declutter your storage space occasionally from the unwanted itemps that could go for recycling by booking a collection date with eBin. Even if you are new to recycling and unsure where to start, their website has a guide to help you recognize what to collect and sort as per their recylables.
Our founder, Anita Roddick, initiated our first recycling scheme Bring Back Our Bottles in 1993. Then, in 2019, we launched our Return, Recycle, Repeat scheme in five countries. In 2021, we started a refil revolution with refill stations across 500 stores globally (currently unavailable in Bahrain). And now, our Return, Recycle, Repeat scheme is back.
